-- LICKING LOVE FROM A KNIFE // LYRICS

Broken promises, carved in skin Taste the blood, on my lips Shards of a broken heart, Swallow them whole Shards of midnight bloom, beneath my skin Breathe in the blood, inhale the lie This is where truth goes to die Sharp as a razor Soft like sin Pull the thread, until my heart breaks again Two broken hearts, sewn together by suicide I can’t say I love you, I can only say goodbye I’ll hold your heart, but you’ll devour mine This is licking love from a knife Licking love from a knife Drown me deeper Taste the sorrow, on my skin A vow in crimson roses, that will never bloom again One last kiss, one last lie Bleeding out beneath the moonlight I never wanted, to say goodbye This is where love goes to die If love is heaven, just let me die I’ll trade eternity for one unbroken breath To lie with you in ruin, star crossed death Ghosts that haunt in silence, dreams that turned to dust I gave you heaven and the stars, it’ll never be enough I gave you my soul and all I got was scars Time and eternity will never, be ours Drown me deeper My last words, carried by the wind Close my eyes and pray for the end Two broken hearts, sewn together by suicide I can’t say I love you, I can only say goodbye I’ll hold your heart, but you’ll devour mine This is licking love from a knife I’ll hold your heart, but you’ll devour mine If love is heaven, just let me die I’ll trade eternity for one unbroken breath To lie with you in ruin, star crossed death
